Why Is A Raven Like A Writing Desk?
I have always related to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass” on so many levels. It’s been a favorite story of mine since I was a child, and I understand it more and more as I get older.
Quite often we’ll hear our friends make some comment about falling down a rabbit hole. As everyone knows, Alice is pretty bored hanging by the river with her sister, when a white rabbit catches her eye. She follows the rabbit and goes down the hole “never once considering how in the world she was to get out again.”
And don’t we do that very often in our lives? We willingly jump down rabbit holes and worry about the consequences later. The human impulse to do what we want, when we want to do it, is very strong.
I’m sure you have all been in this exact situation before. You’ve gone somewhere you probably shouldn’t have, or ignored a dozen red flags about a situation you dove head first into.
